FEC-Non- Custodial Parent's Access to Child's Education Records

Both custodial and non-custodial parents shall be allowed access to their child’s education records. However, a school principal or designee shall not allow a non-custodial parent access to the child’s education records if:

  • A court has issued an order that limits the non-custodial parent’s access to the child’s education records; and
  • The school has received a copy of the court order or otherwise has actual knowledge of the order.
